Service terms for care requests

Version: ccc-service-terms-2026-08-11. These terms summarize the basic responsibilities and boundaries for requesting care.

Terms

What clients acknowledge before requesting service

In-home care only

Carol's Critter Care provides care in the client's home. Pets are not boarded at Carol's home.

Requests are not confirmations

A service request does not create a confirmed booking. Dates, access, scope, price, payment timing, and any special needs must be accepted by Carol in writing.

Client information

Clients are responsible for accurate access details, feeding instructions, medication instructions, veterinary contacts, emergency contacts, and behavior disclosures.

Medication boundaries

Carol can help with simple oral medications when the animal is comfortable with that routine. Injections or specialty medical tasks require separate written review and may be declined.

Animal and weather safety

Walks or outdoor care may be shortened, delayed, or changed for heat, rain, storms, pet exhaustion, unsafe conditions, or animal behavior.

Specialty limits

Snakes, live-mouse feeding, unsafe handling, and care outside Carol's comfort level require separate written approval and may be declined.

Payments and cancellations

Payment method, deposits, cancellation terms, holiday surcharges, and refunds must be confirmed directly with Carol before service begins.

Photos and updates

Carol may send care updates and photos when practical. Clients should tell Carol in writing if photos or updates should be limited.
